Q: Unable to add a request to an existing iteration
It is not possible to insert a request in an iteration which is already in implement phase.
This would be useful because sometimes a developer finishes its requests before the planned end and it is not useful that he/she waits for the other to complete.
From what I can see, the only way for now it's to clone an already planned request, but this sounds like an ugly work-around because then it is not possible to change planned start and planned end.
Is there a way or do I have to submit an enhancement request?
Thanks
Alessio
Answer:
As of v1.24 a project member should be able to open a request-view window and change 'Planned For' field. The list of options will be existing iterations in 'plan','implement','test' stages where the viewer is a project member.
Back in a project tracking panel the project member will see [estimate] sub-menu option which will allow him/her to enter estimates to the newly added request or re-estimate any of the older requests.
Cloning is probably better for cases where you want to break down a task into sub-tasks.
