Q: What is the Yoxel PCM?
What is the Yoxel PCM?
What do I use it for?
Answer:
Yoxel Personal Commitment Manager (PCM) is a productivity tool for professionals who use email to manage and collaborate on projects. It automatically extracts project related information from emails and allows you to focus on managing what is important: what needs to be completed by when and for whom.
The Yoxel Personal Commitment Manager (PCM) is designed to help you:
- manage requests that come to you via email
- accurately plan personal tasks associated with those requests
- communicate accurate commitments on those requests
Here are three basic scenarios of using the Yoxel PCM:
- You send someone an 'outgoing' request (ask him/her to do something).
- The recipient returns a commitment date to you.
- You can build your own plans more accurately (see scenario #3)
- You receive an 'incoming' request from someone.
- You associate a task with this request
- Go to your calendar and plan all your tasks together with the new one
- See what 'end date' the planner/calendar comes up with
- Commit to that date and send it back to the sender of the request
- If one of your tasks depends on someone else's you can reflect it in your calendar
- You send that person an 'outgoing' request (see scenario #1), expecting to get a commitment date from him/her. In your own calendar you add a ‘checkpoint’ which you link to the 'outgoing' request
- You move the dependent tasks under that checkpoint, which means they can not start earlier than that date. Then let the planner re-compute all dates.
