Yoxel PCM for Project Managers

Reading e-mails and distilling project information for inclusion in project plans is a major part of what project managers do these days. E-mail is a popular medium for communicating deliverables and concepts but the communication is usually cryptic and not well formalized when it comes to project activities. To get a realistic idea of project information the project managers usually have to have follow-up interactions with more email, in person, or by telephone. These activities take more and more time as overall amounts of email exchanged in organizations increase.

Take Email-Requests Under Control
The Yoxel PCM formalizes request tracking to enable project management processes. An "outgoing request" is an email sent from the PCM to a functional team member, communicating a task assignment. Once the outgoing request is sent, the project manager's PCM starts tracking the request progress by exchanging control information with the functional team member's PCM.

Receive Accurate Predictions from Request Owners
The Yoxel PCM empowers functional team members to manage and plan their own work load creating a de-centralized environment for project management. Each "incoming request" received by a functional team member can be associated with one or more personal tasks and accurately estimated and scheduled with the personal time planner. Accurate commitment dates for all requests are communicated back to the project manager allowing him/her to build realistic project schedules.

Communicate Efficiently in Email Channels
The PCM provides a communication channel for each request that it tracks. All email communication related to a request is gathered in the communication channel and presented as a hybrid email/chat panel. Such organization of project related email greatly reduces the time project managers spend on searching and distilling emails.
